Gorilla Primitivo and Pomegranate Lamb Pittas

On Wednesday or Winesday as Gareth likes to call it, what more would you want than a bottle of Gorilla Primitivo and these tasty pomegranate and lamb pittas we found on Men's Health.

Here's the recipe for you to try:

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 100 g lean lamb steak

  • 1 tsp pre-crushed garlic

  • 1 pinches salt and pepper (to taste)

  • 3 tbsp hummus

  • 1 handful fresh mint

  • 4 tsp pomegranate seeds

  • 2 wholemeal pittas

Method

  • Heat the olive oil in awokon a medium heat. Cut the lamb across the grain into strips of even thickness. Add the lamb to the hot oil with the garlic, salt and pepper and cook for seven minutes turning the meat halfway through to ensure it’s cooked evenly.

  • Toast each pita in a toaster for one minute, while it’s toasting chop the mint. The combination of smells should be making you pretty hungry by now. Don’t worry; you’ll be eating in a matter of moments.

  • Cut open the pittas then stuff with hummus, lamb, mint and pomegranate seeds. And serve with a large glass of Gorilla Primitivo. Cheers!
